Ed Friton :: Bassoon

Mr. Fritton graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in music. He studied with Leonard Sharrow, Principal Bassoonist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the NBC Orchestra. In the Boston area, Mr. Fritton has played with the North Shore Symphony, the Salem Philharmonic, the Wellesley Symphony Orchestra, the Lexington Symphony and the Symphony By The Sea. He has taught private lessons since 1980. In addition to his professional duties, Mr. Fritton is a volunteer at MacLean Hospital in Belmont in their music studio, where he has worked with individuals and groups in music appreciation.
