The ACT is one of the two major college admissions tests used by colleges and universities in the US. There are four required components of the ACT – English, Math, Reading, and Science. In this class we will prepare for the Reading and English components, reviewing the grammar, punctuation, and other elements of the English section, addressing the time issue that the test presents, and practicing both sections. A materials fee of $30 for a binder of information and practice is payable to the instructor at the first class. One hour and 30 minutes of homework/practice between class sessions — which will be reviewed — is expected. Required text for class: The 2021 Official ACT Prep Guide.
