Reading, “Dry Tears: The Story of a Lost Childhood” by Nechama Tec, taught by her daughter, Leora Tec.

Join Leora Tec for an exploration of her mother’s memoir of surviving the Holocaust in Poland while passing as a Catholic girl. In this 3 session class we will discuss the book ‘Dry Tears” and themes of identity, guilt and hope. Participants will get a unique window into the story through the eyes of the author’s daughter who is herself an expert in Holocaust remembrance in Poland.

Students will be expected to read approximately two chapters per week and come to class ready to discuss the reading.
