An informative session for high school students and/or parents who are wondering how to prepare for applying to colleges. Whether currently a freshman, sophomore or junior, students can invest in worthwhile preparation, making best use of their high school years, while also avoiding unnecessary and debilitating worry. Sharing expertise drawn from years of successfully coaching high school students through the arduous yet ultimately rewarding process of creating winning college applications, we’ll take your questions, preview the Common Application, and talk through a timeline of steps students can follow in the years ahead. We also offer a private follow-up 15-minute consultation session to any family that enrolls.
Catherine Johnson has a master’s degree in education and 44-years of experience as a writing teacher, professional editor and writing coach. As part of BKJohnson College Application Consulting, she has successfully helped students gain admission to Cornell, Mount Holyoke, Harvard, University of California-Santa Cruz, Smith, Duke, Haverford, Bryn Mawr and many other American universities. She works in collaboration with her associate Bruce, a college professor with many years of firsthand undergraduate and graduate admissions committee experience.
