Description
For the most local brunch possible, you’ll get to harvest your own eggs & greenhouse grown micro-greens and then cook it in our kitchen! We’ll have a selection of farm grown herbs and preserved veggies, along with locally made fresh bread and other brunchy ingredients from our store. This class is a combination of farm walk, harvest, cooking session, and casual meal. We’ll start with a walk around the barnyard and then head to our greenhouses to harvest our nutrient-dense micro-greens & collect eggs in our laying hens’ winter home. Then we’ll return to the kitchen to cook and eat! Coffee and tea will be provided.
Codman Farm uses rotational grazing, organic and chemical-free gardening methods and organic animal feed. We believe these practices are best for the environment as well as the healthiest, tastiest food. Class includes all materials needed. Comfortable walking shoes and warm layers are encouraged.
Founded in 1973 by citizens interested in continuing the farming tradition of Lincoln, Codman Community Farms is a non-profit agricultural enterprise. It began as a part-time, volunteer operation and over the years has grown, thanks to the myriad of volunteers that helped along the way.
