Winter Farm Walk at Codman Farm

20 in stock

Every season has its own activities, and we’ve got a lot happening at the historic and innovative Codman Community Farms in the heart of Lincoln, MA! On our Winter Farm Walk, you will get to visit our original post and beam barnyard buildings built in the 1800’s, see our maple sugaring shack, greet our heritage breed cows, pigs, and chickens (and maybe even meet some newborn piglets!). You’ll see our egg washing process and learn about how our animals are part of an intensive rotational grazing system designed
to improve our soils. Tours are led by experienced farm staff who are ready to answer your questions. At the end of the tour, participants will take home a seasonal farm treat, as well as have the chance to check out our farm store for more high quality local and Codman grown produce.

Founded in 1973 by citizens interested in continuing the farming tradition of Lincoln, Codman Community Farms is a non-profit agricultural enterprise. It began as a part-time, volunteer operation and over the years has grown, thanks to the myriad of volunteers that helped along the way.
