Writing Short Form Poetry: Cinquains, Clerihews and more

Whether you have never written a poem or you are an experienced poet, you can easily express yourself creatively by writing traditional short-form poetry of 2-6 lines. In this course you will learn about and write in nine different forms from all over the world, most based on counting syllables. Have fun discovering your talent for writing such forms as haikus, tankas, cinquains, shadormas, sijos, tercets, quatrains, clerihews, and landays, the poetic form of Afghan women. Class meets online via Zoom.
