This is a workshop for anyone with Parkinson’s Disease who wishes to engage in a yoga practice to strengthen and lengthen the muscle groups that support posture. We will learn cues that help with postural alignment and balance, and practice poses that can also aid in alleviating pain. There is a breathing and relaxation component to the class. The class is limited to six participants, so that individual attention can be given to each student’s unique situation. Students will work safely in their comfort level, using a chair for support if needed. Please bring a yoga mat and towel. Caregivers are welcome.
Class will meet November 4 and November 18.
