Violin
Immei Wong
Originally from Macao, China, Immei Wong started playing violin at the age of 10. She was a member of the Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra for 10 years. Later, as a member of the first violin session of the Macau Virtuosi, she helped publish their first chamber music CD—Dancing String, in 2012. Immei graduated from The Central Conservatory in Beijing in 2008, and then continued her music studies at The Boston Conservatory, earning a double masters degree in Violin Performance and Music Education.
An active performer and music educator, Immei has taught in various communities such as Arlington, Boston and Cambridge. She has been teaching violin at the Berklee Institute for Arts Education and Special Needs program since 2014. She is also an active member of Boston Civic Symphony and New England Philharmonic.
