Trumpet
Isaac Dubow
Commencing with study of Classical violin at the age of 4 in New York City after school programs, music has been at the forefront of Isaac’s life ever since. While growing up in NYC, and frequenting concerts of all kinds, Isaac started to fall in love with Jazz music and took up the trumpet while continuing to study violin throughout high school at the famous Laguardia High School of Performing Arts. While in high school he performed regularly with self-led jazz bands, and was a member of several youth bands and orchestras, including but not limited to Manhattan School of Music Precollege and Jazz at Lincoln Center Youth Orchestra. By the time arrived at the New England Conservatory to study Jazz trumpet, he had already worked with some of the most important names in the field such as; Adam O’Farrill, Jason Palmer, John McNeil, and Ingrid Jensen. After returning to school from COVID, his musical interests expanded and he started playing open improvisational music with Joe Morris and studying classical composition with Stratis Minikakis and Davide Ianni. He has taught private lessons in NYC, and is ecstatic to welcome students of all levels and ages in Lexington.
