Jason Yost

Jason began playing guitar at age 12. He began teaching guitar in high school and was awarded the Harry Jones Music Scholarship upon graduating high school. Jason studied music at Berklee College of Music and earned a B.A. in music at the University of New Hampshire. He is an active performer in the Boston area, versatile in many styles of music including funk, jazz, rock, blues, metal and hip hop. Jason has performed with many bands including Mighty Sam McClain, Sam Kininger Band, 2nd Power, Bellamy Bros., Vitamin C, The Aaron Katz Band, and Headshaft. Jason has performed across the US and in Europe and his bands have shared the stage with Earth, Wind, and Fire, Chicago, Arrested Development, Pete Francis (Dispatch), Salt and Pepa, and Run DMC. Jason has also performed with band members from The Trey Anastasio Band, John Scofield Band, Beyonce, Eric Benet, and Soulive. Jason taught guitar in New Hampshire, at Hampton Academy Jr. High, Rye Jr. High, Winnacunnet High School, and Newmarket Jr. and Sr. High School in NH and at Franklin High School and Brookline Music School in Massachusetts. He has experience as a special education tutor/aid and currently volunteers as with the Bretton Woods adaptive program, teaching people with handicaps how to ski and snowboard.
