Create portraits of your pets, beautiful horses or the wildlife and colorful
songbirds from your own backyard. With a relaxed, efficient classroom style, artist
teacher Robert Butler is known for his mentoring success with students of all
ability levels and learning styles. Through detailed demonstrations and all important individual instruction, young artists develop real confidence in the fundamental through advanced techniques of painting as they experience the excitement of discovering their own creative abilities. Classes are divided into paced segments with wildlife video and soundtrack breaks. Included: Animal Anatomy, Mixing Nature’s Color Palette, Habitat Landscapes, Composition and more. All images, videos, diagrams and written PDF files are included.

Robert Butler’s work has been shown at the Smithsonian, on Science based
television and is held in private collections worldwide.

Supplies to be provided by parents:
– one or more drawing pencils with hardness in the 2B to 5B range
– kneaded eraser
– a small pad of mixed media artists paper

Acrylic Paints in:
– red
– yellow
– blue
– purple
– orange
– black
– white.

Paint Brushes:
– synthetic fine liner “0”,
– Round #8
– Flat #10

Optional for students: images of their pet , wildlife or landscape habitat that they
wish to use as their subject.
