Join us as we draw and paint portraits of our pets, beautiful horses and fascinating wildlife. With a relaxed, efficient mentoring style, artist teacher Robert Butler is known for his success with students of all ability levels and learning styles. With detailed demonstrations and all important individual instruction, students will create portraits featuring the subject animals that they choose. Young artists develop real confidence with fundamentals through advanced art techniques as they experience the excitement of discovering their own unique creative abilities. Classes are divided into paced Segments with examinations of fossil castings, study of the science of animal behavior and analysis of sculpture and artwork from the masters of natural history based artwork Included: Animal Anatomy, Mixing Nature’s Color Palette, Habitat Landscapes, Composition and more.

Robert Butler’s artwork has been shown at the Smithsonian National Museum and has taught the arts in New England for over thirty years.
