What do light and sound have in common? They are wiggling, pulsating waves; they can carry energy and information across a room or an ocean; they can mystify and amaze. Using common tools, everyday household objects, and some bite-sized morsels of high tech and multimedia, we will invent musical instruments; build working telescopes; and unveil the wavy nature of rainbows, sunglasses, and more. Art, poetry, and history will weave their way into the week’s activities, and we’ll take time for outdoor exploration and reflective (no pun intended!) journaling and sketching. Please note tuition is higher for this course due to increased materials cost.
