Students will be separated into two groups, each group will run a narrative LARP adventure for the other. The students physically portray their characters and enact a plot of the game as players. The players pursue goals within a fictional setting represented by the real world environments while interacting with each other in character. LARP Adventure Program is a combination of theater, martial arts, and costume/prop/stage design. These arts are combined with critical thinking, creative problem solving, and community leadership skills. Hands-on creative activities include everything from game systems to character development to prop / costume building. LARP (Live Action Role Playing) activities allow students to participate in an interactive narrative, similar to the “choose your own adventure” books, but in a theatrical/game setting.
