Explore the world of unarmed stage combat that you see not only in live productions but also in the film industry. You will learn the basics behind moves and how we trick the eye to keep actors and stunt performers safe but still sell the allusion with certain techniques and safety standards. Throughout the course students will get up and active and participate in the movement to demonstrate their understanding of the topic. We
will also be analyzing popular unarmed fight scenes from movies and TV chosen by the students; allowing them to connect what we go over each day to the selected scene and start to break down moves they recognize.

Hannah Riffe is a Boston-based theatre artist and stage combat teacher who is so happy to be back at Lexplorations this year!
