Description
There are so many reasons to celebrate our LGBTQ+ youth, families, friends, and identities; and as many reasons to learn and to admire the communities’ historical, creative, and cultural contributions. The embodiment of Pride, and the work of striving for equality in community lasts all year long – reaching far beyond our national annual Pride month in June. Part creativity, part history, and 100% Pride, we will explore age appropriate awareness, and celebrate youth voices, perspectives, and LGBTQ+ identities, history, and experiences. Inspiration will be gleaned from music, podcasts, movie clips, and books that center Queer voices and experiences. Games involving history, artful creation of colorful pride flags, and appreciation of music, pop culture, and artists will be explored.
