Building Bridges, Boats, and Barns (July 13 – July 17)

Description

Future engineering and imagineering students take note! Students aspiring to go to engineering and other challenging schools benefit from hands-on experience working with materials, along with their intellectual know-how. Using super-cool glue, craft sticks, and larger wood pieces, we will start with geometric shapes and then, in groups or individually, use our observational powers and measuring skills to build other projects, such as barns, bridges, and boats. Bridges can include the truss, arch, covered, or suspension bridge, and boats can include the pirate or Viking boat.
