Some say that life is what you make it; others that life’s circumstances make you. I suppose that a mixture of both is true. As we will see this winter, Rilke encourages us to “live the questions” and I think that might be the best that anyone can do. It’s certainly what we try to do with each new term and course catalog at Lexington Community Education. I know from lots of LCE experience that taking a class or attending an event can help clarify what we carry consciously in mind, and care about and hope for in the heart. Each new year brings anniversaries, birthdays, celebrations, as well as new opportunities for ways to tweak the recipes regarding how we cook our life. Winter is nearly here, as is the New Year…and registering for a class is really a resolution of sorts. There is a lot of hope contained in the intention, practice, and pleasant commitment toward learning something new.  Looking through our winter offerings I hope you find the intellectual ingredients to get 2025 off to a healthy and thoughtful start. May sweetness follow.

Happy Holidays,  Happy New Year and Happy 250th Anniversary to Lexington!

I hope to see you in class in 2025,
