Music Instrument And Voice Lessons

  • NEW STUDENT, please complete and return this form to begin the process of matching you or your child with a teacher, location and schedule. Upon receipt, teachers will contact parents in the order in which registrations are received to arrange a lesson time. If you are a RETURNING STUDENT, please contact your teacher directly to set up a start time for lessons and download and submit the above registration form.
  • The following instruments are available for individual study: Baritone Horn (Euphonium), Bass, Bassoon, Cello, Clarinet, Electric and Acoustic Guitar, Flute, French Horn, Guitar, Oboe, Percussion (Drums), Piano, Saxophone, Sitar, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba, Upright Bass, Viola and Violin. Voice lessons are also available.

    Length of semester depends on day of the week of the lessons as noted below. Each student is permitted only one personal excused absence per semester and is urged to give the teacher 24 hours notice when possible. The only other approved reason for a missed or cancelled lesson is school cancellation, teacher absence, or conflict with a required school event.

Lexington Community Education provides an optional program of convenient and reasonably priced individual music lessons with highly qualified professional musician-teachers. Lessons are held at Lexington High School after 3:30pm, Monday through Friday and may be scheduled into the evening. Students may choose the length of weekly lessons that best suits their budget, time commitments and musical needs. We welcome beginners as well as advanced students, of all ages, from every town.

The following instruments are available for individual study: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone Horn (Euphonium), Tuba, Percussion (Drums), Guitar (Electric and Acoustic), Violin, Viola, Double Bass, and Bassoon.

There is an annual registration fee of $30 for the first child, and $20 for each additional family member. This fee is paid in September for the ten-month school year.

  • 30 minute lesson times … $36.00 per lesson
  • 45 minute lesson times … $52.00 per lesson
  • 60 minute lesson times … $69.00 per lesson

If you are a NEW student this form will help us begin the process of matching you or your child with a teacher, location and schedule. Upon receipt, teachers will contact parents to arrange a lesson time. Please include your payment in full with your application. Payment will not be processed until LCE is notified that a lesson schedule has been arranged between the student and the teacher.

Lexington Community Education will hold your check or credit card until the music instrument teacher confirms that a day and time of instruction has been agreed upon between teacher and student. Once this is confirmed, the check will be deposited OR the credit card charged.
