Linda Rossman

Classical Guitar

Linda Rossman is a Suzuki certified classical guitar teacher who offers lessons for beginning to advanced students of all ages. Ms. Rossman is a seasoned guitarist with at least 45 years of playing experience.  She has studied classical guitar techniques with some of the finest teachers in the Boston area and has performed in libraries, museums, art centers, and churches with various groups.

She has performed on guitar with a flutist for many years in the  “Wood and Strings” duo.  She has also worked with early music groups playing guitar with a group of Viola Da Gambas. Ms. Rossman has performed in various summer programs such as the Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra in Rhode Island.  She has passed the Suzuki guitar audition requirements through Book 4 and has completed the Suzuki Training Institute for Book 1.  She has used a variety of methods of teaching classical guitar including Christopher Parkening and Aaron Shearer as well many others. She has combined her music training with her educational endeavors with Master’s degrees in teaching from Northeastern University and Library Science from Simmons University. Ms. Rossman strongly encourages students to read music, along with memorization if desired. Ms. Rossman likes to help her students find joy in playing duets as they learn the basics.
