Julia Chung

Piano

Julia Chung is a member of New England Piano Teacher’ Association (NEPTA) and has been teaching piano for more than 20 years. She is an active pianist and instrumental accompanist. A passionate and experienced piano teacher, Ms. Chung helps her students learn piano with fun and joy, providing an applicable education tailored to student’s level and personality.
Julia started playing the piano at the age of 5 in South Korea and from then, the piano has been an essential part of her life. After moving to Boston with her family in 2007, Julia attended Piano Performance Seminars in New England Conservatory of Music (NEC), with instructor Ya-Fei Chuang and wonderful classmates for 3 years. It was a precious time for her to express her ideas and life by performing her music.
Julia received her Bachelor’s degree in piano performance in Mokwon University, where she studied with a scholarship, and then studied Music Education for her Master’s degree in South Korea. Her previous mentors include Ya-Fei Chuang, Samuel Adams, Jeanie Lee, and Heesook Lee.
