Description
New learners are welcome! This class is for those with limited knowledge of English who want to learn the basics of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Topics will include parts of speech and verb tenses; vocabulary and punctuation; and sharing information about our backgrounds, friends, and families. For example, we will practice using sentences and engaging in simple conversations. Our focus will be building a foundation of basic English, so that we can improve our reading comprehension, writing, listening, and speaking with others. (Purchasing the textbook is optional.)
Rosemary Previte has a Master’s degree in Reading and Language and several years of experience teaching English as a Second Language. She is also a published editor, with nearly 20 years of experience as a writer, editor, and proofreader of reference books, textbooks, magazines and newsletters.
