Chinese as a Second Language (CSL) Immersion Class – Bridge Fall 2026

Description

CSL Immersion Class (Chinese as a Second Language) (Grade K-5) provides a dynamic, engaging environment where students build confidence and fluency in Mandarin through meaningful, real-life use of the language. Designed for learners with little prior exposure, the program emphasizes listening and speaking while reinforcing foundational skills in reading and writing. This program is also designed as a supplemental program to a structured, CSL Level Series program. 

Through interactive activities—such as games, role-playing, storytelling, songs, and project-based learning—students are immersed in a natural language environment that encourages communication and cultural connection. Lessons are thoughtfully structured to make language learning both effective and enjoyable.

Prerequisite: Grades K–5 students who are beginners in Mandarin and have little or no prior exposure to the language.

Recommendation: For families who are serious about advancing their child’s Chinese proficiency by level, we strongly recommend enrolling in CSL Level Series as the primary program. The Mandarin Immersion Class is best viewed as a supplement, providing additional exposure and practice. Together, this combination supports more comprehensive development across listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
