Description

Perimenopause is a transitional phase leading up to menopause, characterized by fluctuating estrogen levels. This phase can begin for some women as early as their late 30s and can last for several years until a woman reaches full menopause. Many women (but not all) experience the unanticipated symptoms of perimenopause and many reach menopause without clear information or practical support on how to manage and understand the changes to their bodies. This workshop is designed for women who want to understand what’s happening in their bodies (or learn ahead of time) and feel empowered by this knowledge to explore and adopt realistic lifestyle style strategies designed to lead to long-term health and vitality. The series will explore how naturally shifting hormones during perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause can affect metabolism, bone and heart health, muscle strength and body composition, pelvic floor function, sleep, mood and brain clarity. Five core lifestyle strategies will be reviewed in depth, along with practical ways to implement them. Women will have an opportunity to create their own PMMP (Personal Menopause Mastery Program) as part of this workshop series.
