American Mah Jongg for Beginners

Join us for a comprehensive introduction to American Mah Jongg. This 4-session course provides a solid foundation, starting with recognizing the different suits, winds, and flowers, followed by hands-on training on hand-building and defensive play. We will begin with an introduction to tiles, building walls, and basic terminology, and progress to reading the NMJL card, and building our first hands. The last two classes involve mastering the Charleston (swapping phase), and guided gameplay with instructor feedback. Sets are provided; attendees should bring their current year’s player card.
