Beginner Chess Class (Ages 7+)

This beginner chess class is designed for Elementary students ages 7 and up who are new to chess or have little experience. Through step-by- step instruction, guided practice, and fun mini-games, students will learn the fundamentals of chess while developing logical thinking, focus, patience, and sportsmanship. By the end of the course, students will understand how the game works, how each piece moves, and how to play a complete game independently with confidence and good chess etiquette.
