Enter the world of Adesewa (Nigerian-American) and Roseline (Haitian-American), who navigate identity and perception via a multicultural lens. Their
journey starts with a nerdy feud that blossoms into a beautiful friendship. Exploring key experiences, their young and elderly versions intertwine throughout. Storytelling, video games, dance, song, poetry, and video devices combine with a comedic tone and themes of relationships, race, culture, and authenticity versus vulnerability. This play is the brainchild of Magically Delicious. Real-life friends and first-generation women, Shiyanbade and Rosena, create multi-form art that opens the door to challenge the status quo, while pulling at your heartstrings. They are a comedic, contagious force that will draw you into their magically delicious world.

Shiyanbade is an interdisciplinary artist, playwright, producer, and educator for the last 13 years, is deeply rooted in Boston’s creative ecosystem. She received a 2024 Mass Cultural Council Grant for Creative Individuals. She has written for Magically Delicious, Boston Sketch Co, QAW, and Peak Bumble. In 2018 and 2019, her improv troupe Bodega collaborated with the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and City Awake to celebrate Millennials of Color. She is a founder of The Nova Comedy Collective, and an Improv Boston National Touring Company member. Shiyanbade also leads KÉÀJO providing empathy minded consulting services for technical teams and leaders.

Rosena Cornet is a dynamic comedic writer, actress, coach, and producer with over a decade of experience. As a recipient of the 2019 NBC/Second City Bob Curry Fellowship, she wrote and performed in the Fellowship’s annual Showcase. She currently writes for Magically Delicious, a two-woman sketch team. Rosena is a former resident cast member of Boston’s Improv Asylum NXT and Improv Boston’s National Touring Company. She has also written and performed with several Los Angeles-based teams, as well as performed improv with various Boston- and LA- based teams, including Bernie Mac & Cheese and Bodega. Rosena has had the privilege to teach and coach students both in the States and abroad.
