Description
Mindfulness can help children increase their attention span, focus and concentration, improve memory, facilitate better social functioning and self-esteem, reduce stress, and improve relationships with parents. The class is designed to understand and experience what mindfulness is and to show caregivers how to use it in their lives in a practical way. We will explore simple and fun activities to encourage mindfulness and relaxation so that everyone can see it in action. The instructor uses props to engage in sensory activities to help practice being more present. Activities include a kindness rock, puppets, chime bells, animal breathing exercises, friendly wishes, a heart bell, and more.
