Description

This two-hour workshop offers an ancient yet accessible approach to cultivating compassion, joy, and empathy through Lovingkindness (Metta) meditation. Open to all experience levels, we will explore how this practice allows us to reframe situations with the best intentions for ourselves and others. We will begin by exploring the profound interconnectedness of self and the world through guided meditation exercises, experiencing the subtle energies within and around us. We will discuss how the heart—the body’s most electromagnetic organ—can create ripples of kindness that foster internal healing and radiate outward. Inspired by the teachings of the Buddha and Thich Nhat Hanh, this session will guide you to quiet the mind, gain perspective on stress, and transform habitual reactions into an appreciation for impermanence. You will learn practical tools to help calm the mind and invite focus, awareness, and gratitude into your daily life, even amidst external chaos.
