Description

In this writing group, work on developing true stories from your life into engaging, thought provoking stories that can convey your messages and insights. Each class will include a warm-up where the instructor will share tips on writing and story telling then conduct a short session of timed, prompt-based writing. Each student can then opt to share their drafts to get feedback from the instructor and use other students as a sounding board. Alternatively, they can learn from the critiques of other students’ pieces and quietly work on their own. Bring short pieces you have written or generate new ideas and drafts and build a community of supportive, creative minds that share the common goal of developing their unique style. No previous experience necessary: just a desire to find your voice and mine your memories for insight and meaning. More about the instructor at www.chandreyeelahiri.com. Enrollment is limited to 6 students.
